A Spot of Luxury Limited ("We", "Us" or "Our", as the context requires) are committed to maintaining, protecting and respecting your privacy.
This Policy, together with the relevant Competition Rules ("Rules") sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the DPA"), the data controller is A Spot of Luxury Limited, P.O. Box 7705, Derby, DE1 ORG.
The terms of this Policy are as follows:-
1. We may collect and process the following data:-
1.1 Information about you that you provide when you enter competitions on our website www.aspotofluxury.co.uk;
1.2 Information about you that you provide if you contact us by any other means;
1.3 Information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. Please also refer specifically to Section 5 of this Policy.
2. All information that you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted.
3. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Athough we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of information that you transmit to our site, and accordingly you do so at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features intended to prevent unauthorised access.
4. We use information that you provide to us in the following ways:
4.1 To ensure that content from our website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
4.2 To enable you to participate in the relevant competition according to the Rules, and to enable us to communicate with you, and provide information to you, regarding that competition;
4.3 To provide information regarding other competitions, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;
4.4 To carry out our obligations to you arising under any Rules, and
4.5 To assist us in preventing fraud.
5. Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer to help our website analyse how participants use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your internet protocol (IP) address) will be transmitted to, and stored by, Google on servers in the USA. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where this is required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by it. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, but please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
6. We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
6.1 If we or a substantial or relevant part of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets;
6.2 If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply any Rules, or to protect our rights or property, or the right or property of our customers or others.
7. We shall not at any time forward any information supplied by you to us to any third party for marketing purposes.
8. The DPA gives you the right to access information that we hold about you. This right of access can be exercised in accordance with the DPA. In return for the provision of such information, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with the information.
9. If we make any changes to our privacy policy in the future, these will be posted on our website.
10. It is not our policy to require you to provide sensitive personal data (as defined in the DPA).
