Our Story
'A Spot of Luxury' is the brainchild of entrepreneurs Paul Roome and Peter Biddle from Derby, England.
The business partners first met as construction apprentices 35 years ago and have been friends ever since.
Paul went onto serve 30 years as a firefighter whilst Peter followed his dream of running his own construction company.
They both came up with the concept of 'A Spot of Luxury' from different angles.
Peter had just built the luxury house which subsequently became the first major competition prize on the website. The eight-bedroom home had attracted interest from far and wide so he thought - 'why not open this up to the whole world and set up a competition?'
Meanwhile, Paul was admiring luxury yachts moored up in a Spanish harbour and thought - 'why shouldn't everyone have the chance to own one of these?'
'A Spot of Luxury' was therefore born and Paul and Peter started work on setting up this competition website and sourcing a wide range of enviable prizes which give everyone the chance to treat themselves to - a spot of luxury.
Paul explained: "Our aim is to be the ultimate competitions website with high value prizes at affordable entry prices. Peter and I have never been the kind of people to sit around. We are always looking for the next challenge and have loved setting our minds to this."
